We recently installed a 7000 lbs. capacity jib crane for a customer in the steel processing industry. The customers jib crane was existing and installed in South Carolina, but they needed the crane at their new facility in GA.
Our crew provided the mechanical take-down of the crane, prepared the components for shipment, and loaded the large crane on a flatbed truck.
We then prepared a 9’x9’x4′ concrete foundation designed to support the crane system. The foundation work included; saw cutting the existing slab, excavating the soil, installing reinforcing steel, placing the custom made bolt template and pouring the concrete.
We installed the jib on the new foundation once the concrete was cured enough to support the load.
